*Giclée prints are produced with archival pigment inks by professionals creating gallery quality prints. They do require special care (a google can give you more details information) but in particular touching the surface of the print with your hands, or any scratch across the surface can damage them. They must have acid free materials for mounting and framing. Hanging them out of direct sunlight is recommended. The lifespan of your investment in this fine art print will be affected by how well it’s cared for.

Description

Sweet Repose giclée art print features a bumble bee asleep in a poppy.

I recently learned that while girl bumble bees get to return to the hive to sleep – the boys have to sleep ‘out in the wild’. To the close observer they can be found asleep in flowers, stems and leaves. Having learned this fact I find myself looking into flowers with anticipation and have indeed found tired out little bombus terrestris asleep in flowers! Their big bumbling ways have long enchanted me, and now finding them resting on the job only makes them more endearing. I have hoped to capture a bit of the loveliness of them in this artwork.

Shipping Information

Unframed A4, A3, A2 prints are sent flat in a plastic sleeve with backing board between two pieces of corrugated cardboard and placed in a mailer bag or wrapped in brown paper. Unframed A1-A0 prints are rolled with acid-free tissue and brown paper and put into a tube. All framed prints are cardboard cornered, a piece of stiff card is secured over the glass then bubble wrapped and put in a custom fit box and marked with fragile tape.

I use Post Haste to ship our New Zealand orders Monday to Friday on a signature-required service, someone will need to be home to sign for the delivery otherwise a card to call will be left.

All international orders are shipped using tracked courier.

If you have both framed and unframed prints in your order, you will only be charged for framed prints.
