This open edition unframed art print, Pair of Pūkekos, is a giclée* print on 210gsm smooth matte paper, in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa (Auckland, New Zealand) and will be authenticated with my custom embossed signature.

*Giclée prints are produced with archival pigment inks by professionals creating gallery quality prints. They do require special care (a google can give you more details information) but in particular touching the surface of the print with your hands, or any scratch across the surface can damage them. They must have acid free materials for mounting and framing. Hanging them out of direct sunlight is recommended. The lifespan of your investment in this fine art print will be affected by how well it’s cared for.

Description

Pair of Pūkekos is as art print featuring the familiar cheeky birds common throughout Aotearoa, New Zealand. They are part of the rail family of birds. I love the way they flick their white tails when they walk.

This print was inspired by a morning walk during which I startled a pair of pūkekos who were grazing. They both stopped and stood bolt upright, straightening their necks and turning their faces side on to see me. It was suck a striking pose – I knew I wanted to create a print from it.

Shipping Information

Unframed A4, A3, A2 prints are sent flat in a plastic sleeve with backing board between two pieces of corrugated cardboard and placed in a mailer bag or wrapped in brown paper. Unframed A1-A0 prints are rolled with acid-free tissue and brown paper and put into a tube. All framed prints are cardboard cornered, a piece of stiff card is secured over the glass then bubble wrapped and put in a custom fit box and marked with fragile tape.

I use Post Haste to ship our New Zealand orders Monday to Friday on a signature-required service, someone will need to be home to sign for the delivery otherwise a card to call will be left.

All international orders are shipped using tracked courier.

If you have both framed and unframed prints in your order, you will only be charged for framed prints.
